Better

 I’m tired of being told that I deserve better 

When every better comes around they play me like the last.

What is better? 

How do you find better in this life? 

You opened up my heart and you gained my trust. 

You made me feel like I was on a pedestal 

Just to knock me off.

I think you just wanted better

Because I know I’m not your dream girl

You told me everything about you and made me start to fall for you

But there was always another girl.

The temptation of finding a better girl.

I don’t shy away from showing my love.

You mention your favorite candies 

So I bring them to you to make you smile

I just wanted to see you happy

I wanted to be the one to make you happy

But you never wanted to be that for me

I was just another girl you could check off your list of conquering

You told your family about me and it made me think there was a chance

Telling all your boys how amazing that night was for you 

It made me smile to think you bragged about me 

But it was all a lie. 

Because even that night you were looking for someone better.

I hate the phrase you deserve better.

Because I know I will never be that better.

The pit

I wish I knew why I hurt so much.   It feels like everything is pouring out of me.  I struggle to get out of bed in the morning.  I’ve lost my hope and motivation. I feel myself sinking into this pit and I’m trying to claw myself out.  I start to climb out and I always slip and go back down.  It gets harder to breathe down here. It’s getting darker the more I slide down. Can anyone hear me screaming for help? I feel like my screams are silent.  I just keep searching for a hand to grab to help me out of this pit.  But I know I won’t find one.  There’s no one out there looking for me. Im sliding deeper and deeper down. Maybe one day I  will be  strong enough to climb out.

But a lot

-
  Crying over a man who never loved me.   How pathetic it feels to care so deeply, For a person who doesn’t even want me.  The way I put him first before me.  Will he even think about me once he’s moved to another state? All the times we went bar hopping.  All of our “non-dates”.  I hate how much I’m going to miss you.  The fact you probably will never give me a second thought.  I hate how you will never feel anything for me. When I’m crying about you because I care, not just a little bit, but a lot.
